Women Alumnae of Mercer

Who we are

Women Alumnae of Mercer (WAM) is a professional network comprising nearly 400 women who have a shared heritage of having worked at Mercer, a global consulting firm focused on health and benefits, wealth management, and career development. Our WAM members range from early career professionals to retirees. While originating with members in health and benefits, WAM has expanded to include experts in many other areas of human capital including – rewards, finance, retirement benefits, and communications. We have members in 32 states and 3 countries outside of the US.

The original goals of WAM stay true today – to leverage our common history to provide members with networking, learning, and fun.

Please note, WAM operates independently and is not formally affiliated with Mercer. Our initiatives are exclusively organized by and for our informal professional network.

“Lots of feedback to process and consider, which is awesome. Great experience as well. What a group of sharp minded women. It’s a real privilege to be able to pitch them like that all at once and hear their thoughts and feedback...you should do this as often as you can and with as many founders as you can. It's a golden opportunity to get invaluable feedback in a very short amount of time. For founders it’s a game changer. I wish we had done this even earlier in our journey of selling to employers!”

“Being part of this group was such a rewarding experience. The level of thoughtfulness and expertise from everyone in the group was inspiring. It’s a privilege to be in a room (virtual or otherwise) with so many accomplished women, all sharing honest and constructive experience. This is the true value of WAM—being surrounded by a network of supportive, intelligent professionals who challenge and elevate each other. O”
